My friend Hutch recently started writing a blog about his musical observations. What can I say, he's a natural. Humor, history, opinion, rants...it's all there and fun to read. His life's ambition is to move to Austin and see as many concerts as humanly possible. He's off to good start and he hasn't even moved there yet. His first blog entry documents a 12-day trip to Texas where he sees what appears to be several dozen concerts. At one point he attends a festival and is faced with the decision to either see the Old 97s or Big Head Todd and the Monsters who were playing at the same time. He takes a gamble and....well, I don't want to give it away, but let's just say Hutch was pleased. Recommended reading.
