A few weeks ago I quit the instrumental band I was in. I don't know, it just wasn't that fun. Plus I wasn't all that excited about playing a bar at 1:00 am on a Thursday night, which is probably the best we could've hoped for. It finally dawned on me that I'm not cut-out to be a performing musician. Hell, I can barely stay awake past 9:30. However, that doesn't mean I've stopped playing. In fact I'm playing more than ever. I recently purchased a Korg Ampworks B modeling effects processor. I love this little guy. It's so easy to use and sounds great! I recorded a sample drums/bass song so I could hear it in action (3.2 MB; 3:25). What was supposed to last 30 seconds ended up going over 3 minutes because it was so fun to play. This particular setting is the "Silver" preset, which models a "silver-paneled US-made apm head from 1967" through two 15-inch speakers. In a flash of creative genius I titled the recording "Silver".
